Postage Costs (UK)

Postage is calculated form the amount you order. Below shows the range of postage charges according to the amount in your basket.

All items are carefully boxed and shipped via Royal mail and should be with you within 5 working days. If your item is not in stock it may take up to 10 working days for delivery. If this is the case you will be informed via email.

There are many reasons out of our control which may result in late delivery. If we discover a problem you will be emailed, but once the item has left New Modellers Shop it is down to royal mail to deliver on time.

Postage Costs (EU)

If you live outside of the United Kingdom postage will be charged at cost. Please email info@newmodellersshop.co.uk with your order so that we can confirm availability and give you a price for shipping.

Postage Costs (Rest of the World)

At present New Modellers Shop does not ship outside of the EU. Orders from outside the EU will be dealt with on a case by case basis. If you wish to order an item and you live outside the EU please email info@newmodellersshop.co.uk to see if we can ship there and the cost. We cannot ship to the United States or Canada.

Packaging

New Modellers Shop is aware that the packaging of models needs to be of a high quality for collectors. New modellers shop however cannot guarantee the condition of the packaging of the products. The packaging is designed to protect the model and not to look good. If you are a collector and need the boxes to be of a high standard please email me first (click here for email) and I will check the items in stock and inform you of the quality of the packaging. Many items come to us from the Hornby stockist with imperfections on the packaging and this is why we cant guarantee its condition.

Payment

We can accept payment via Debit card, Credit Card, or paypal transfer. For our customers piece of mind we use Paypal Secure Payment Services. At no time does New Modellers Shop hold or see your card details. All details are inputted on a secure site and only the order information is sent to us. You will be sent an email by paypal confirming your order.

You do not need a paypal account to purchase from this site. Paypal will give you to option to pay using your cards and then give you the option of setting up a paypal account.

Price

New Modellers makes every effort to ensure the price on the website is correct. If for whatever reason the price stated on the website is incorrect we are not obliged to supply goods at the advertised price. Where this is the case you will be notified of the error giving you the option to cancel your order.

Returns Policy

All sales are final. If the product you receive is incorrect please email info@newmodellersshop.co.uk before returning it to New Modellers Shop. If the error was not your fault and the item is returned unopened, we will refund you the cost of postage and send you the correct item if possible. If not possible we will refund you your money. If the error was your fault and the item is returned unopened and in the condition it was sent then New Modellers Shop will refund you for the value of the product, minus the cost of postage and card fees (please note that postage fees may be more then the set amount paid during checkout, as the cost of postage is often subsidised within the price of the goods).

If you have a problem with a Hornby model, you have one of two options.

1) Return it to New Modellers Shop for a replacement.

or

2) Take it to your local Hornby's Service dealers. If it is in warranty the repairs will be FREE OF CHARGE. There is usually a list of these which comes with your model. We recommend this option as in most cases it is quicker and easier for you. We can also locate your nearest Hornby service dealer for you.

Stock

If an item is marked "Please give 10 working days for delivery" this means the item is not in stock at this time, but it can be ordered for you. If you purchase this product it will be ordered for you from Hornby. We indever to meet the 10 working days delivery date but if for some reason we cant, you will be informed by email.

New Modellers Shop cannot guarantee that an item is in stock. Even if an item is on our site and does not state that it is either "out of stock", "Delivery within 10 working days", stock due or "N/A" this does not mean it is in stock. The website is updated daily but if many orders come in for the same product it may become sold out before we can update the website. If this is the case you will be emailed to ask whether you want to wait the 10 working days or would like to cancel the order. If you wish to cancel, the full amount paid to us will be refunded. We apologise in advance if the item you require is not in stock.
