This new N Scale (1:148) 5-car train pack is sure to be popular with modern image modellers. A companion Starter Set for each livery is also available GM2000103. The Class 800 AT300 is a bi-mode multiple unit built by Hitachi for Great Western Railway and London North Eastern Railway. They use electric motors for traction, but in addition to operating on track with overhead electric wires, they have diesel generators to enable them to operate on unelectrified track.

Production Details:

Due to arrive in early 2021, these two new N Scale (1:148) 5-car train packs are sure to be popular with modern image modellers. A companion Starter Set for each livery will also be available in the Gaugemaster Collection.

The Class 800 AT300 is a bi-mode multiple unit built by Hitachi for Great Western Railway and London North Eastern Railway. They use electric motors for traction, but in addition to operating on track with overhead electric wires, they have diesel generators to enable them to operate on unelectrified track. Based on the Hitachi A-train design, the trains were built by Hitachi between 2014 and 2018. The trains were assembled at the Hitachi Newton Aycliffe facility from bodyshells shipped from Kasado, Japan.

KATO - Amtrak ALC-42 Charger Superliner Passenger Starter Train Set

Production Details:

For the first time in N Scale, the ALC-42 “Charger” engine will be designed from the ground up to accomodate DCC & Sound, with a vented speaker mount in the fuel tank. The engine will be available both with and without pre-installed DCC. The New ALC-42 is brand new from top to bottom, with an all-new mechanism and sophisticated construction. The Charger’s distinctive vent on the side of the body is replicated in see-through detail, which can also be illuminated through the use of an optional interior K11-211. 1:160 Scale model of a ALC-42 Charger diesel locomotive decorated in Amtrak livery. This pack includes three coaches in matching livery, an oval of Kato Unitrak and a controller. Measurements: Track Plan Size 4ft x 2ft.
