The C3640 Scalextric model Mini Cooper is based upon the
BRITAX sponsored car as raced by Steve Neal who finished in 9th place (5th
in class) in the Wipac Trophy race, a round of the 1969 British Saloon Car
Championship supporting the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Steve Neal,
father of BTCC driver Matt Neal, regularly raced in 1968 and 1969 in a
Morris Mini Cooper in the BSCC (British Saloon Car Championship - the
fore-runner of BTCC).
