One of the most important early British aircraft of
the 20th century, the Avro 504 series was the most heavily produced
aircraft to serve in a military capacity during the First World War,
with the ‘K’ variant becoming the standard training aircraft for the
Royal Air Force. Many would remain in service well into the 1930s, with
the type enjoying an impressive 28 year service career.
