The Short SC.7 Skyvan was a British twin-turboprop
transport aircraft first flown in 1963. Produced until 1986, around 150
were built. Designed for simplicity and low operating costs, its Skyvan
3 variant was the most common. Used worldwide, including in the
Falklands War by Argentina, it cost about $650,000 in 1972.
